Welcome to Marine One

Why we built this platform, who it's for, and what's coming next.

If you sail — or you’re about to start — Marine One is for you.

This is the resource we wished we’d had. Not a YouTube channel, not a scattered WhatsApp group, not a textbook last revised in 2002. A real platform, organised the way ships actually work: by system, by ship type, by competency.

What you’ll find here

Three things, integrated:

A community at discuss.marineone.org — every machinery system, every department, every rank. Moderated by working seafarers, not random posters. Cruise hospitality crew get a full section of their own.

Exam tracks at learn.marineone.org — from IMU-CET through MEO Class 1, with surveyor-pattern orals, function-wise drills, mock vivas, and an AI tutor that knows your syllabus.

A blog right here — for the in-between content: career guidance, regulatory updates, ship-type deep dives, life-at-sea essays.

Why we built this

Maritime knowledge is scattered, generic, or written by people who never sailed. Marine One is built by working seafarers who felt every gap in the existing learning ecosystem — and decided to close them, by department and by ship type.

What’s live today

  • The community forum (engine department + cruise hospitality, full categories)
  • The blog (you’re reading it)
  • The career roadmap (DG Shipping path, engineer + deck overview)
  • The pricing model (₹1,000 community for three years; exam tracks from ₹2,500)

What’s coming

  • Full IMU-CET course content
  • MEO Class 4 / 2 / 1 tracks
  • Deck department forum activation + Master/Mate exam tracks
  • AI tutor integration (Claude-powered, grounded in our content)
  • Mobile PWA for offline-friendly use at sea
  • Razorpay payment integration

How to help

Join the community. Introduce yourself. Tell us what’s missing. We’re building this in public, and every voice shapes what gets built next.

Fair winds. ⚓
