TME
Trainee Marine Engineer
GME or B.Tech Marine Engineering completed at a DG-approved institute.
Sea Time: Entry phase
MEO Class 4
Fourth / Third Engineer
Operational-level certification for watchkeeping.
Sea Time: 6 months
MEO Class 2
Second Engineer
Management level — responsible for operation and maintenance.
Sea Time: 12 months
MEO Class 1
Chief Engineer
Ultimate technical authority on board.
Sea Time: 18–36 months
Deck Officer track
Pre-sea cadet through Master FG. Detailed tracks launching soon.
Deck Cadet
Pre-sea training and initial shipboard training.
2nd Mate
Requires 12–18 months sea service.
Chief Mate
Requires 18 months sea service as an officer.
Master
36 months total sea service. Command-level CoC.
All sea service must be verified via e-Migrate.
